Cathy Ogram joined the
US Army Field Band after graduating from Youngstown State University. She has
been on over 54 national and international concert tours. Cathy has also been a
soloist with the band and is a frequent performer on their chamber music
series. In addition, she has been in international competition 4 times, winning
2nd place in 1998. Ms. Ogram freelances in the Baltimore/Washington area,
performs with the Columbia Orchestra and American Clarinet Choir, as well as
teaches.
Here is what
Cathy has to say:
"I can't say enough about the reeds.
I have been using them nearly three years. I just began improving in leaps
bounds because my time is all devoted to practicing now. I travel all over
the country on concert tour, and I have no stress any more when we go into the
mountains, desert, whatever etc. I always have something to play. On
several occasions I attempted to see if people could tell the difference between Légère and cane (if they couldn't see). When I recorded back to back
pieces on minidisc, in all cases people chose Légère as the better sound, and
when I sent a competition tape in with a couple pieces on cane and the rest on Légère
no comments came back from the judges on sound...other than positive
comments."
