Chuck Hedges, is a clarinetist whose
reputation began in Chicago and has spread worldwide. He has become a
favorite at jazz concerts and festivals all over the U.S. and Europe. One
of his important musical associations was with Wild Bill Davison, with
whom he toured extensively. His playing has always been exceptional: a
warm, supple tone, long melodic lines, an infallible sense of swing and
perhaps most important, an unquenchable enthusiasm for playing. After more
than 40 years of dedication to the clarinet, Chuck switched full time to
the Légère reed, saying that it had "changed his life."
From his home base in Milwaukee he performs
with The Milwaukee Connection. He plays regularly at "The Grove"
(Thursday nights) and Selens" (Friday nights).

nice to come home to,
the last track on Chuck's new CD "Just for You".
Played on a Légère reed, of course. Chuck projects a great
enthusiasm and sense of swing reflective of the true joy and
spirit of his mainstream jazz style. "Just for You"
showcases a diverse group of musicians coming together in a truly
fun musical ensemble. Chuck and The Milwaukee
Connection have been working together for six years now. This is
their second recording and we look forward to more. Go to www.chuckhedges.com
