Cathy Ogram
United States Army Field Band
Cathy Ogram joined the US Army Field Band after graduating from Youngstown State University. She has been on over 54 national and international concert tours. Cathy has also been a soloist with the band and is a frequent performer on their chamber music series. In addition, she has been in international competition 4 times, winning 2nd place in 1998. Ms. Ogram freelances in the Baltimore/Washington area, performs with the Columbia Orchestra and American Clarinet Choir, as well as teaches.
Here is what Cathy has to say:
"I can't say enough about the reeds. I have been using them nearly three years. I just began improving in leaps bounds because my time is all devoted to practicing now. I travel all over the country on concert tour, and I have no stress any more when we go into the mountains, desert, whatever etc. I always have something to play. On several occasions I attempted to see if people could tell the difference between Légère and cane (if they couldn't see). When I recorded back to back pieces on minidisc, in all cases people chose Légère as the better sound, and when I sent a competition tape in with a couple pieces on cane and the rest on Légère no comments came back from the judges on sound...other than positive comments."
