Légère Reed Exchanges

For all exchanges (except those in Japan) please complete the form below.  Your submission will be reviewed within three business days and, if approved, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form will be emailed to you.  Do not mail your reed in without an RMA form or it may be rejected and sent back.

One exchange is permitted per reed purchase, and five reed exchanges are permitted per year per customer. Exchanges are restricted to purchases made within the past 30 days.

If you have more than one reed to exchange please complete this form again.

*Special Note: Légère's bassoon and oboe reeds are extremely difficult to make, exchanges will be considered on a case by case basis so we ask that you Contact Us for approval prior to sending back your reed. Double reeds do not qualify for our "Exchange of Strength" policy.

Please let us know what you would like to receive, NOT what you have already purchased.

Double reeds cannot be submitted for exchange using this form. Please Contact Us with the details of your request, for approval, prior to sending back your reed.

Légère Sound Results

The Légère Sound Results program was a test conducted between 2014 and 2015 to determine how high school clarinet and sax band players responded when switching to from cane to Légère reeds.  We gave one signature series reed per student per term/semester to every clarinet and sax player in thirteen US schools and twelve Canadian high schools.  These reeds came with the guarantee that Légère would replace them at no cost should the break or lose their full natural sound.

“I have been playing Légère reeds for 15 years now for several reasons; first of all they never change, evene when it’s too hot, cold or moist. Secon, they make soundwarmer and sweeter. Deep sounds are brighter as well. Furthermore, they enforce top tones and they whole sound rangebecomes perfectly homogenous. Last but not least their lifespan cannot be underestimated, as it is much longer than any traditional reed.” – Domenico Luciano
