"I first used Légère reeds on my “shop mouthpieces” when doing woodwind repairs. At gigs during that time, I would sometimes reflect that I had felt better about the shop setup than my performance setup that night! When recording in Las Vegas and having nothing but trouble with cane reeds that I had brought from Vancouver, I decided to do something about it.

"I now use Légère Reeds exclusively, and cannot imagine playing any other reed. Right now my favorite is the Standard Bb reed #4.25. It has a lot of body, but the tip still responds very quickly and cleanly. I have tried some of the other Légère styles, but this one is best for my setup. These reeds last a long, long time, and are always the same and ready to go day after day. They are responsive for good attacks and staccato and make it easy to produce a good tone. It is so nice to be able to spend my time playing music, rather that working with reeds.
