Légère Artist Feature | Enrico Galante
Why did you choose the saxophone over other reed instruments?
"There was an immediate connection with me and the sound and look of the saxophone at the very young age of 5. I was actually watching The Lawrence Welk Show on TV with my Grandmother and when the saxophone section had a close up I immediately paid attention."
What keeps you motivated to practice and play?
"I am a High School Music Director by day. All of my students keep me motivated with their desire to learn."
What advice would you give to intermediate musicians taking the leap to the advanced/professional tier?
"The advice I would give is to keep a very open mind and embrace every little bit of knowledge from anyone or any source. Never Give up and keep true to your ART!"
How has your musical life changed since you started playing Légère reeds?
"The stress level of trying to find a reed that works before a show has been eliminated. No matter how many times I need to switch a Légère Reed ( which is very rare ) they always work and I always sound the same!! Musicians , friends , family and fans have also commented on my sound with these reeds. I have been playing Légère for close to 5 years and I have never gone back to cane!"
What’s next for you in your musical career?
"Continue with more Live Shows and also find time to record an album with original music!"
