Dr. Caceres has taught at the University of Utah School of Music and Utah State University, He is the Principal Clarinet of the Sinfonia Salt Lake, Bass Clarinet of the Ballet West Orchestra, Principal Clarinet of the Salt Lake Choral Artists Orchestra, Artistic Director and Principal Clarinet of the Forward 4 Clarinet Quartet, Utah Youth Symphony Orchestra Clarinets Coach, and Founder of the Utah Youth Band Academy. He has been performing professionally since 1993; highlights include playing as a soloist with the most important orchestras in Chile (Chilean National Symphony (Weber Concertino)), Concepcion Symphony Orchestra (Copland Clarinet Concerto, Weber Clarinet Concerto #2), in the United States with the Utah Philharmonia Orchestra (Jean Francaix Clarinet Concerto) and the Sinfonia Salt Lake (Henry Wolking Clarinet Concerto Gone Playin’). Dr. Caceres has won the most prestigious national competitions both in the U.S. and in his native country, Chile. Among the most important are: Utah Philharmonia Concerto Competition, Twice Finalist of the International Clarinet Association’s Orchestra Audition Competition (Austin Texas 2010 and Los Angeles 2011), Concepcion Symphony Concerto Competition (2007), Andes Foundation Prize, and Discovery Season 2001 (Chilean National Symphony Orchestra) among others. He has also performed at the International Clarinet Festivals in Assisi, Italy, in the U.S.A. in Lincoln, Nebraska, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Denver, Colorado and Dublin, Ireland 2024.
