Jazmin Deborah Ghent is a smooth jazz/gospel recording artist and a Music Educator with the Polk County Florida School System. She was voted the Smooth Jazz Network’s “Best New Artist of 2017”. Jazmin is a 2014 graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education/Jazz Studies and a graduate of Tennessee State University with a Master’s Degree in Music. She has 2 CD’s – “Boss” which had 2 Billboard Charting Singles and “Chocolate Sunshine” which had 3 Billboard Charting Singles. She is currently working on her 3rd CD entitled “The Story of Jazz”. Jazmin has performed at the following festivals: Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival in Delaware; Lake Arbor Jazz Festival in Maryland; The Capital Jazz Cruise; Seabreeze Jazz Festival in Florida; Florida Smooth Jazz Weekend; Catalina Island Jazz Trax in California; Newport Beach Jazz Festival in California and Mallorca Jazz Festival in Mallorca, Spain. She has performed with Kirk Whalum, Brian Culbertson, Euge Groove, Norman Brown and Gail Jhonson. Jazmin is very much a modern saxophonist, but she is well grounded in the music of those greats who came before her and she has built upon that legacy.
