Recitalist and teacher, Jose García-Taborda has been an active performer in the United States of America, Latin America, and Asia; he is currently a teacher at IberAcademy and a founding member of the Orduz-Garcia Duo. Garcia-Taborda has been a clarinet faculty member in renowned universities in Medellin and has taught as a guest artist in South America, Malaysia, Singapore and the USA. He has performed extensively with the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra and the EAFIT Symphony Orchestra and is the founder of numerous chamber ensembles in Colombia and the US. His recordings include the album Portraits of Colombia with Orduz-Garcia Duo and recordings of pieces by Colombian composers as a collaborator. He is an LRSM, holds a Master’s Degree from EAFIT University, and an Artist Diploma from Duquesne University. He plays Yamaha CSVR clarinets and is a BG France and Légère Artist.
