Masanori Kobayashi is from Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. He finished his studies and received his diploma of music at SHOBI College of Music. He successfully passed an audition to perform as a soloist for the college’s “new artists concert.” He won the highest award for his performance at the 20th Annual Japan Classical Music Competition.

Masanori started his professional performing career during his studies at SHOBI, and appears regularly at various events and concerts. Currently a freelance saxophonist, he has successfully held recitals in his hometown of Hakodate, and Tokyo. As well as providing private lessons and wind band tutoring. He participated in La Folle Journee au Japon 2017. He were all responsible for the accompaniment of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) radio’s “Shin Nichiyo Meisakuza” in the play. He released the album “genic1” (fontec) as a member of the JG. He is an active member of JG, Ensemble Allegro and Poc-Miqs. He is the official artists of Yanagisawa Japan.

Masanori studied saxophone under Akinori Naraoka, Akira Matsuyuki, and Hiroshi Hara, and chamber music under Shin-ichi Iwamoto, Yoshiyuki Hattori, and Kin-ichi Nakamura.
