Nigel’s diverse career has seen him perform with symphony orchestras, perform thousands of shows around the world with jazz ensembles, lead shows for tours around Europe, and even manage one of the most well known big bands in England. Nigel’s saxophone can also be heard on movies and many television shows including the hit USA series “24” and “Bones”.
As a musical director Nigel has conducted tours throughout the UK and Europe including performances at London’s famous Palladium theatre. And for more than a decade Nigel has managed the orchestra for the award winning production “Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas” for seasons in London’s West End and tours throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.

In 2013 Nigel began creating video courses to help people learn saxophone through Youtube and his hugely popular Sax School at www.mcgillmusic.com. Today his youtube lessons have been viewed nearly 3 million times and Sax School has grown to be the biggest online community of saxophone learners helping thousands of students from more than 70 countries around the world.
Although originally from Cairns in the far north of Australia, Nigel, his wife Emma and two sons are now based in the north of England.
